BRIDGETON — Robin Weinstein, president and founder of The M25 Initiative, announced that the nonprofit will be making up to $15,000 in grant funding available to the faith-based community.

The M25 Initiative Mustard Seed Mini-Grant Program provides seed funding through matching grants for innovative start-up and on-going projects of faith-based organizations and collaborations in Cumberland County, that further the spirit and mission of the Cumberland County Code Blue program. The M25 Initiative Mustard Seed Mini-Grant Program aims to equip local congregations and faith-based organizations with financial resources to address issues in Cumberland County.

"The M25 Initiative is a funding and facilitating volunteer organization that works through partners and collaborators to positively change our community," said Weinstein. "The three pillars of the M25 Initiative are: the Cumberland County Code Blue Coalition, the Cumberland County Housing First Collaborative, and the Mustard-Seed Grants. Together, these three programs provide a safety net of compassion by equipping and empowering individuals, churches, and organizations in being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community."

Faith-based organizations, churches, or collaboratives with faith-based partners are welcome to submit up to three projects for consideration. The Initiative is providing grants for: Showers for the Homeless Program Start-Up up to $2,500, Innovation Start-Up up to $1,000, On-Going Program/Ministry Support up to $500, and a new Code Blue Host Church or Supporting Church Facilities Grant up to $500. The application deadline is May 15.
